2012 – Across from the opera in the center of Hamburg, a new office building was planned. From the beginning, a Gold certificate according to the DGNB (German Sustainable Building Council) was the aim and one of the reasons for an early assembly of the various partners of the team to plan and construct the building. Our office was asked to create the lighting design for the building and additionally to prepare the criterion 22 of the DGNB. This point deals with information on daylight and a sustainable, comfortable artificial light for the working places.
The building received the gold certificate of the DGNB – the compliance with the requirements to an extent of 86.8% makes it one of the best in Germany.
